Your Race. Your Pace. Our Club
Curious about time trials? Club-level time trials are a fantastic entry point into competitive cycling, offering a friendly yet focused way to test your speed and endurance against the clock.
Often called “the race of truth,” a time trial strips things back—just you, your bike, and the open road. At our club, these events are low-pressure and inclusive, designed to help riders of all levels build confidence, improve fitness, and track progress over time.
Whether you're chasing a personal best or just want to challenge yourself in a supportive environment, club time trials are a great way to get involved and experience the thrill of racing—without the peloton.
The entry fee for a time trial is £4. We accept cash and also offer a contactless card payment option for your convenience.
Riders must sign on at least 15 minutes before the start time—earlier if you're taking part in a handicap event, to allow for proper scheduling.
Please note that, in line with CTT regulations (effective from 5th December 2021), a hard shell helmet and working front and rear lights are mandatory for all riders.
Visitors are welcome, but must be members of a CTT-affiliated club. If you're new to time trials and would like to give it a go before joining a club, speak to one of our members about a 'Come and Try It' temporary membership. We'd be delighted to have you join us!
